About
echoes of art
At Zimmer, we celebrate creativity and expression through poetry, novels, odes, and short pieces of fiction. Our magazine provides a space for writers of all backgrounds to share their work, connect with fellow creatives, and inspire one another. We started as a tiny 1 person show in July 2023 and are quickly expanding and enjoying the journey.
We invite readers to immerse themselves in the joy of storytelling and the power of words. Our core values - authenticity, inclusivity, creativity, integrity, and trust - guide every page we publish. We strive to present poetry that is as natural as the human spirit, holistic in its exploration of the world, and innovative in its expression. Above all, we are committed to creating a space that feels safe, welcoming, and true to the diverse voices that shape our shared literary landscape.
Let us inspire you to see the world in new ways, one poem at a time.
poetry for every voice
We believe in the timeless power of poetry to capture the human experience in its purest form. We are dedicated to showcasing the beauty and depth of this art, ensuring that it remains accessible to all kinds of readers, regardless of background, experience, or identity.
We take pride in giving voice to those often unheard, championing the work of marginalised poets whose stories and perspectives are essential to the fabric of our world. Through the pages of our magazine, we strive to create a space where all voices can resonate - where words have the power to heal, challenge, and inspire.
Whether you are a long-time lover of poetry or new to the craft, we invite you to explore the diverse and dynamic works within our magazine. Poetry is for everyone, and we are here to make sure it is seen, heard, and shared by all.
A note from the founder
Welcome to our poetry magazine! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. We founded Zimmer from always believing in the transformative power of poetry—the way it can capture fleeting emotions, challenge our assumptions, and open up new worlds of thought. This magazine is a labour of love, created with the goal of offering a platform for diverse voices and experiences, and I’m honoured to be a part of this vibrant community.
Thank you for joining us on this journey. I look forward to sharing the beauty, complexity, and raw honesty of poetry with you—and I’m excited to see where these words take us together.
