A bit about me
Writing for me has always acted as an extension of my curiosity. I love finding out new things and with this comes my own input and my chance to provide people with my own perspective. Interviewing poets is a real treat because nothing is off limits. Poetry is so personal and so touching, it really is a gift to be able to listen to the inspirations and thought processes behind some emotional, beautiful, and purely magical writing. Getting an insight into why these poets write and to be able to ask them about their experiences of writing with such honesty firsthand is an amazing opportunity. My own experiences writing poetry combined with my curiosity really make my position as journalist at Zimmer truly special.

In a nutshell

My favourite poet
Not to sound cliche but I have really been enjoying the writing of Sylvia Plath at the moment. I come across her poems and always feel so seen, especially at this point in my life. Her poems come from a place of utmost vulnerability and for that reason alone I am drawn to her writing.

My favourite book is...
The Wrong Knickers by Bryony Gordon. This is a non-fic I came across in a charity shop written by journalist Bryony Gordon. It is absolutely hilarious and is one of the only books I have ever read more than once. This one is great for those in their twenties who sometimes have no idea what they are doing.
